Connect an assistant

Flozu has an MCP server, so AI assistants can work in your account. Connect one and it can map a repository straight into a project, read your maps, run scenarios on them and suggest changes. Every change it makes to a map that’s already there comes in as a proposal for you to adopt in Versions.

Your code stays on your computer. The assistant reads it there and sends Flozu only the map it draws: the parts, how they connect and what they’re called.

Flozu’s MCP address is:

https://my.flozu.app/api/mcp

Whichever assistant you use, it ends the same way: your browser opens Flozu, you sign in if you haven’t, check it’s your account, and choose Allow. There’s no key to copy. When you’re signed in, the robot button at the top right of Flozu has the quickest way: pick Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex or Gemini CLI, and it shows three steps with the command ready to copy, or a button that adds Flozu in one go.

These run on your computer, beside your code, so they can map a repository.

  1. Add Flozu. --scope user makes it work in every project.

    claude mcp add --transport http --scope user flozu https://my.flozu.app/api/mcp
  2. In Claude Code, run /mcp, choose flozu, then Authenticate.

  3. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

Claude Code's VS Code and JetBrains extensions use the same servers, so adding it once covers them too.

  1. Add Flozu to Cursor. Cursor opens and asks you to confirm. Add to Cursor

  2. In Cursor Settings → Tools & MCP, choose Connect beside Flozu.

  3. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

Ask in Cursor's chat, in Agent mode.

With GitHub Copilot’s chat, in Agent mode.

  1. Add Flozu to VS Code. VS Code opens and shows Flozu: choose Install. Install in VS Code

  2. VS Code asks to let Flozu sign in. Choose Allow.

  3. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

Ask in Copilot Chat, in Agent mode.

OpenAI’s coding assistant.

  1. Add Flozu.

    codex mcp add flozu --url https://my.flozu.app/api/mcp
  2. Sign in to it.

    codex mcp login flozu
  3. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the Codex app share these settings, so adding it once covers all three.

  1. Add Flozu to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json. In Cascade, MCPs → Manage MCPs → View raw config opens it.

    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "flozu": {
          "serverUrl": "https://my.flozu.app/api/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  2. Save it, then choose Refresh in Cascade's list of MCPs.

  3. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

  1. Add Flozu.

    gemini mcp add --transport http --scope user flozu https://my.flozu.app/api/mcp
  2. In Gemini, sign in to it.

    /mcp auth flozu
  3. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

Gemini Code Assist's agent mode, in VS Code and JetBrains, reads the same settings file.

Chat apps can read your maps, run scenarios and suggest changes, but they can’t read the code on your computer. To map a repository, use one of the assistants above.

In the Claude desktop app, on claude.ai and on your phone. A connector added in one is in all of them. This is Claude the chat app: Claude Code has its own steps, above.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

  2. Name it Flozu, paste the address, and choose Add.

    https://my.flozu.app/api/mcp
  3. Choose Connect beside Flozu.

  4. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

  5. In a chat, open + → Connectors and check Flozu is on.

Add it once, on the web or in the desktop app, and it's in both and on your phone. Claude in a chat can't read the code on your computer: to map a repository, use Claude Code.

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.

  2. Back in Apps & Connectors, choose Create. Name it Flozu, paste the address, and set Authentication to OAuth.

    https://my.flozu.app/api/mcp
  3. Tick I trust this application, then choose Create.

  4. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

  5. In a chat, choose + → More → Developer mode and turn Flozu on.

Developer mode is on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. On Business and Enterprise, an admin may need to allow it first. ChatGPT can't read the code on your computer: to map a repository, use Codex.

Any assistant that takes MCP servers can connect.

  1. If it takes remote MCP servers that sign in (Streamable HTTP and OAuth), give it the address. It registers itself, so there's no key to copy.

    https://my.flozu.app/api/mcp
  2. Your browser opens Flozu. Check it's your account, and choose Allow.

Once it’s connected, ask in your own words. For example:

  • “Map this repo into my Flozu account”
    Reads the code where it is and draws a new map, in the project you name.
  • “Map this repo again and suggest the changes”
    Maps it again onto its map as a proposal, keeping what you moved and wrote.
  • “Map each repo in this folder into my Payments project, then draw an overview”
    One map a repository, and an overview whose parts open each one.
  • “Run Black Friday on my Checkout map and tell me what breaks first”
    Plays a ready-made scenario and says what runs short, and what to change.
  • “Suggest a fix for what breaks, and check it copes”
    Saves the fix as a proposal and plays the scenario on it.
  • “Add a story along the checkout path”
    Suggests a story, step by step, for you to adopt in Versions.

For a whole repository, the assistant follows Flozu’s guide to mapping code, the same one as in Map your code with Claude, so the map comes out laid out and readable. Mapping a repository again keeps what you moved, coloured and wrote.

Remove Flozu in the assistant, the way you added it: for example, claude mcp remove flozu in Claude Code, or in Claude’s Settings → Connectors. To connect it again, add it again and allow it.
