# Get Flozu

> Use Flozu in your browser at my.flozu.app, run it from its source on your own computer, or install the Mac app.

Flozu runs in any modern browser and as a Mac app. Both are the same app: what works in one works in the other.

## In your browser

Open [my.flozu.app](https://my.flozu.app/) in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. [Sign in](https://docs.flozu.app/guides/accounts.md) with Google or GitHub to keep your maps in your account and open them anywhere, or continue as a guest to keep them in this browser.

> **Note**
>
> Flozu is in a private beta, so signing in works for invited addresses only. Anyone can continue as a guest.

## From the source

To run Flozu on your own computer from its source, you need access to its repository, [Node.js](https://nodejs.org) 22.23.4 or later and pnpm 10. Run this way, nobody signs in, and your maps are saved in the browser you use.

- **macOS and Linux**

  ```sh
  corepack enable          # once, to get the pnpm version Flozu uses
  git clone https://github.com/flozu-app/flozu.git
  cd flozu
  pnpm install
  pnpm dev                 # opens Flozu at http://localhost:5173
  ```

- **Windows**

  ```powershell
  corepack enable
  git clone https://github.com/flozu-app/flozu.git
  cd flozu
  pnpm install
  pnpm dev
  ```

If your Node doesn’t include Corepack, `npm install -g pnpm` works too.

## The Mac app

The Mac app is Flozu in its own window, with a menu bar, and each map saved as a file you can see in Finder. See [the Mac app](https://docs.flozu.app/mac/overview.md) for what it adds and how to get it.
